An OLT (Optical Line Terminal) is a network device used in a fiber-optic access network to connect the service provider’s network to multiple customer connections.
The OLT manages communication between the provider’s network and customer-side optical devices such as ONUs and ONTs. It is commonly used in technologies such as GPON and EPON to distribute internet services over fiber.
