Bandwidth Limit

WiFi Mtaani

A bandwidth limit is a restriction placed on the maximum amount of bandwidth a user, device, package or connection can use at a given time.

In an ISP network, bandwidth limits help control how much speed each customer receives. For example, a PPPoE package may be configured to provide a customer with a maximum of 10 Mbps, even when the ISP has much more capacity available. The chat discusses individual PPPoE bandwidth and how available bandwidth can determine the number of customers a network can support.
